DELVOL Examples
The DELVOL command can be used to manually delete a full-volume backup version that is no longer needed.
SCENARIO A: DELETE A FULL-VOLUME BACKUP AND OVERRIDE THE EXPIRATION DATE
The DELVOL command will remove the full-volume backup version and indexed data sets that resided on that volume at the time of the backup.
Find the backup’s unique id using LISTVOL and delete it using DELVOL with purge:
